Stir frying is one of my absolute favorite healthy ways to cook and it’s easily gluten free to bookt! It’s completely customizable so I can pick exactly the veggies I like and change it up based on who I’m serving (I love zucchini but my fiance won’t touch it! haha). These are just a few of my go-to ingredients but you can really use just about any vegetable and whatever proteins you like to fill your custom stir fry!

My favorite trick is to use water to keep it from sticking instead of extra oil. I use a really good nonstick pan and watch it very carefully to make sure nothing burns- the higher the heat the better this will work!

Here’s my favorite recipe (serves 1)

  • 1/3 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/3 cup cooked brown rice
  • 2 scrambled egg whites
  • 1 cup broccoli (frozen & defrosted)
  • 1/2 cup zucchini
  • a few water chestnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh minced garlic
  • 2-3 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • splash of white wine
  • dash of ginger & red chili flakes
